Charging Chimp

As much as I enjoy watching the chimpanzees at my local zoo or on commercials, it's a good thing to be reminded every so often that they are wild animals capable of literally tearing you apart.

As a sidenote, Cheetah, of Tarzan fame is still alive as of the writing of this post. He is 76, and has outlived his less hairy co-star. That makes Cheetah the world's oldest known chimp.

Normal life expectancy for a chimpanzee is about fifty years. "Cheetah" is a great rarity. It probably would have been dead many years ago, in the wild, but is probably alive due to "pampering" by its human keepers.

Wombat, you're so wrong. Everyone knows that chimps are happy little creatures that wear pants, play ukulele, and like to perform in Weezer videos. They're practically like people!!

You're right, Jack. So right!

Mind you, Cheetah earned the right to fling Napoleon Brandy or poo at you (whichever is more convenient) and get you off his lawn. I wonder if he's still able to do the tearing apart thing?
